Who we are supporting

FIREHOUSE 51 BREWING CO is currently supporting the following charity:

To provide opportunities for first responders and veterans impacted by trauma to experience the healing power of surfing and the ocean as a pathway for Post Traumatic Growth.

The Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation started in May 2019 with the local community realising the importance of preserving the local koala population from the threat of development.

We started out firstly with a Facebook group which continues to record the sightings of koalas on the Mornington Peninsula. Our membership is gradually increasing, and with the support of the Mornington Peninsula Landcare Network, we are well on the way to becoming an established community conservation group.

Our main goal is to create a koala wildlife corridor connecting existing sections of koala habitat and food trees on the Mornington Peninsula. This involves planting in the existing koala corridors, thereby encouraging koalas out of urban areas and away from the many threats they face.

To achieve our goal, we need funding to purchase and plant trees and vegetation needed for the wildlife corridors. To raise the funds needed we will hold fundraisers, increase membership and apply for grants. All money received will go directly towards bringing our project and goals to life.

000 Foundation (Previously supported)

000 Foundation is a brand new charity established in 2020 to advance the welfare of Emergency Services Personnel, especially for those suffering from mental health issues like depression, post-traumatic stress injuries and suicide.

We work with a number of other institutions to help deliver support services, fund research, remove stigma and raise awareness of mental health issues facing Emergency Services Personnel and the broader community

We aim to introduce innovative new programs to improve the mental health of our sector and our community. We will also assist in looking after the welfare of personnel, particularly those adversely affected by their service.
